Roxana Donaldson is a Contemporary Fine Artist and Memory Analyst whose practice operates at the intersection of Conceptualism, Process Art, and Post-Minimalism. Based in Bucharest, Romania, her work explores the architecture of memory through painting and tactile assemblages, creating what she defines as “aesthetic cages” for fragile emotional content.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT
Memory is a chaotic beast.
Without a cage, it either flees or devours.
I paint on recycled textiles as primary canvases, layering pigments and inscriptions to archive time. This is Process Art where the material possesses agency. Beyond the canvas, my practice involves a systematic analysis of the image. As a researcher, I document memory and human affective experience.
My laboratory is the studio, and the case study, the gaze. I do not describe, I do not tell stories, I do not illustrate.
