Site-Specific Intervention
Documentation of the here they lived hosted at Carol 53 Gallery Bucharest in 2023.
This topographic record captures the first iteration of the “Here They Lived” modular installation, hosted within the heritage space of Carol 53, Bucharest. In response to the architectural decay and historical layers of the villa, the installation was reconfigured to create a dialogue between the “affective architectures of memory” and the degraded textures of the site. By integrating the artwork into the patina of the building, the intervention explores the fragility of dwelling and the persistence of human traces, mapping a conceptual bridge between the archival objects and the physical memory of the space.
